Professor Shi Songtao, the father of the world's oral stem cells appointed as director of DUT dental pulp stem cells and precision pharmacy research center

On the morning of 9thJune Wang Hansong, secretary of the DUT committee of the Communist Party met Professor of University of Pennsylvania Shi Songtao,the father of the world's oral stem cells, and his delegations. Mr.Wang issued a letter of appointment to Mr. Shi as director of DUT dental pulp stem cells and precision pharmacy research center. Vice president of DUT Song Yongchen, Wang Qing, director of School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology and related staff accompanied the meeting.

Mr. Wang on behalf of DUT welcomed Mr. Shi to come to DUT again to have a communication and thanked the support and attention from Mr. Shi on the scientific research development of DUT. Mr. Wang said that Professor has huge influence in the field of oral stem cell around the world. He presiding over the work of dental pulp stem cells and precision pharmacy research center will further intensifies the scientific research ability of DUT in stem cell and biological medicine. Related department of DUT and Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology should work closely with Professor Shi and make a completed plan to promote the construction and development of research center. Both sides will make great contributions for the development of Chinese stem cell and related field by further cooperation.

Professor Shi said thatthe scientific research strength of DUT is strong; the scientific research atmosphere is good. He is pleasure to work in DUT asdirector of DUT dental pulp stem cells and precision pharmacy research center. He expressed that he will put forward the construction ideas, plans of the center, and carry out the important research project in the field of dental pulp stem cell to further promote the exchange of subjects, and actively contribute to the development of scientific research.
